Rap icon Sean “Diddy” Combs is confronted with a third sexual assault lawsuit, this time alleging that he and singer-songwriter Aaron Hall assaulted a woman and her friend in 1990 or 1991.

The legal proceedings come as part of a surge in lawsuits under the New York Adult Survivors Act, allowing victims to sue beyond the statute of limitations.

In the latest case, referred to as Jane Doe, the woman asserts that she was coerced into sex by Combs after attending an event in New York. The lawsuit contends that Combs, along with Hall, later became violent when visiting her home. Combs’ representative dismisses the claims as fabricated, attributing them to the expiration of the statute of limitations and labeling them a “money grab.”

This marks the third sexual assault lawsuit against Combs this month.

A separate case filed by Joi Dickerson-Neal alleges that she was drugged and sexually assaulted by Combs in 1991.

Combs settled a previous lawsuit with his former partner, Cassie, who accused him of rape and sex trafficking.

The mounting accusations against high-profile figures like Jamie Foxx and Axl Rose under the Adult Survivors Act highlight the impact of trauma on survivors and the complexities of revisiting past allegations.

Combs’ spokesperson maintains that these allegations are not credible, emphasizing the potential misuse of well-intentioned laws.

As legal battles unfold, the controversies surrounding Diddy intensify, underscoring the broader conversations around accountability and justice within the entertainment industry.
