Ghanaian rapper Samuel Adu Frimpong, popularly known as Medikal, has asserted that he remains unfazed by the pressure from emerging rappers, citing his journey and foundation as the source of his confidence.
Speaking in an interview on Bryt TV, Medikal emphasized that his success is not solely about selling music; he is also marketing a lifestyle.
The rapper highlighted the selectiveness in his approach to accepting show invitations, stating that he will decline if he does not feel like it.
"I'm not just selling music; I am selling a lifestyle. I want you to understand that I have money. I am not just a regular rapper. I decide the shows I want to come to; I don't care about the money," Medikal asserted.
The rapper went on to explain that despite being paid for appearances, he maintains a standard of respect and autonomy.
He clarified that financial compensation does not mean he will tolerate disrespect.
"If I don't feel like it, I won't come. I choose to go where I want to go. But I let people know that you can't disrespect me just because you’ve paid me. I choose to come when I want to," he declared.
