Afrobeat star Burna Boy has warned Nigerian bloggers that he will hire 100 lawyers to sue them if they continue publishing stories about him against his wishes.
However, he acknowledges blogs need to make money from posting celebrity news and stories.
In a tweet on Wednesday, November 15, the Grammy-winning artist expressed his frustration, telling the bloggers to stop pushing him to the wall.
“Dat money wey I wan give dem instablog dat time, e be like say na to give like 100 lawyers now, But I know say na hustle everybody dey hustle so e go pain me if I run dat kind tin. Why una dey push me na?" the tweet reads in pidgin.
This comes after Burna Boy had previously offered to pay entertainment news blogs and websites to stop reporting about him.
On November 3, he asked the platforms to name their price saying "I know say I never pay any of una before so I say make I just run am finally."
It is believed the self-proclaimed "African Giant" was unhappy with what he felt were negative stories being published about him.
This includes recent coverage of him turning down a $5 million performance deal in Dubai because smoking cannabis would not be allowed there.
