Ghanaian songstress Mzbel has shared her views on the conversation regarding whether or not musicians need spiritual protection.
She agreed to those advising singers to be fortified spiritually, noting that it would aid their continuous stay and success in the music industry.
She explained in an interview on Cape Coast-based Property FM that music is business so venturing into it without any proper spiritual backing may land one in trouble.
“I agree that you need to be spiritually fortified in the music industry because music is a spirit since it’s capable of changing the mood of people.
“Music is a spirit and the moment you hear it, it changes your mood to either become angry, happy, horny or sexy and also makes you excited.
“Music is spirit and so if you want to do music business and you don’t take your spirituality seriously then you are in trouble,” she said.
Mzbel continued, “When the spirit comes you need to know and understand how to carry it, how to manoeuvre it and what you ought to do with it.”
The conversation regarding artists getting spiritual backing has intensified following musician Wendy Shay’s recent road crash which happens to be the second time Ruff Town Records has been hit with such bad news.
