Ghanaian songstress Wendy Shay has made a social media comeback following her recent road crash on the Kwabenya road in Accra.
She observed that there are people who will never check up on their supposed friends when they are in need but will only wait till they are dead to show them love.
In a post on X, the ‘Every Man Cheat’ singer said the experience after her accident resonates with a song she recorded three days prior to the incident which talks about true love.
According to her, she is fine all thanks to God, her family and friends who stood by her during the difficult moment.
“I recorded this song on 7.09.2023, had an accident on 10.09.2023. The lyrics in this song are making sense to me now…Some people will only love you when you are dead,” she wrote.
She revealed that she is “Alive by the Grace of God,” adding, “Thanks to GOD, my family, team, and my Fans for their support and prayers.”
“Ghana please say a big Thank you to these celebs who showed me love when I needed it most,” she wrote, tagging singers like Shatta Wale, Lasmid, King Promise, and others.
The accident occurred Saturday night, September 9, on the stretch between ACP and Kwabenya in Accra, leaving the artiste with some injuries.
Videos from the accident scene showed a damaged front side of her Jeep Wrangler vehicle with the registration number plate, SHAY 21-19.
According to eyewitnesses, Wendy Shay's Jeep Wrangler collided with a tipper truck loaded with sand.
