‘Why are they scared to speak up?’ — Naira Marley seeks answers about Mohbad's death

Nigerian singer Naira Marley is calling for transparency around the death of his former signee Mohbad on Tuesday.

In an Instagram story on Friday, September 15, Naira Marley posed a series of questions about the circumstances leading up to Mohbad's death at age 27.

"Who took him there? Who are the people he was with? Who was he last seen with?" Naira Marley wrote, demanding to know more about Mohbad's final hours.

The artist also questioned the reported medical treatment received by Mohbad prior to his death.

"What was the nurse treating? Who is the nurse? Where did the nurse treat him? Who took him to the nurse?“ he quizzed.

Naira Marley expressed dismay that "There was no autopsy. Why was he buried so quick?" and accused unnamed parties of attempting to cover things up.

"They want to hide it by paying blogs.. let's show them their money's wasted," the singer wrote.

He urged others to come forward, saying "Why are they scared to speak up? Who's bullying people to delete the post that's showing what happened to him on that day.”
