Ghanaian actress and social critic Lydia Forson has expressed frustration with the poor state of roads, especially in the capital city of Accra.

She observed that no driver can drive for five minutes in Accra without hitting a pothole, a situation she said, almost leaves her with general body pains everyday.

In a tweet on Thursday, September 14, Lydia Forson drew attention to the dire road conditions and its impact on citizens.

"You can’t drive 5 minutes in the CAPITAL CITY without hitting a porthole, depending on where you live you may come home with aches and pains," she tweeted.

The actress noted that Ghanaians have endured poor quality road networks, hospitals, schools and others for the greater part of her life.

"I’ve grown up on poor roads, hospitals, schools 30+ and you think it’s normal???" she questioned.

Her comments come at a time when citizens have launched a social media campaign under the hashtag #FixOurRoads, demanding quality road networks in the country.
