Ghanaian dancehall singer Shatta Wale has taken a swipe at the media following songstress Wendy Shay’s accident reportage.
The vocal singer expressed shock that the news of the ‘Every Man Cheats’ crooner went viral within a twinkle of an eye but her songs remain in the unknown.
In the same vein, Shatta Wale is calling on the media to report about musicians’ hustle-the process they go through while recording as well as when the songs are finally released so people can hear about them.
“Accident dierrr she is trending but her songs dierrr u no make news about it.
“When she is recording , pls go and bring us that news too ,how she cracks her brains to get the work done …Fakas!!!
“Dem no deh shy tooo oooo …Her this entertainment prefects erh. Ungrateful-some-people,” he wrote in a tweet on Sunday, September 10.
The Ruff Town Record signee was involved in a car accident on the Kwabenya highway in Accra on Sunday, September 10 at midnight.
The accident occurred around midnight when her Jeep Wrangler collided with a tipper truck.
Reports say she tried to avoid the truck, but her car veered off the road and crashed into a gutter.
The impact of the crash caused significant damage to the celebrated songstress’ car, but she could walk away with only minor injuries, eyewitnesses confirmed.
