Reggie Zippy, one half of the popular Ghanaian hiplife duo Reggie N Bollie, has announced his divorce from his wife after 15 years of marriage.

In a public Facebook post on Thursday, August 17, the singer wrote, "As of Friday 11th August 2023 at 12:00 noon, I am no longer a married man."

"It was all my fault, I should have known better instead of caring for my children or family going forward," Zippy continued.

The musician acknowledged that he had been "extremely irresponsible and wicked" towards his three children and their mother. "I apologise to them for my unacceptable behavior as a very foolish father and husband."

The musician said he accepts that he has been "a horrible human being who doesn't deserve to ever see or speak to his children because I am a very irresponsible man and father."

The musician stated that he is now "a single man who has his freedom and rights to live my life and date any woman I want to."

Zippy's wife had already hinted at the split earlier, posting on Instagram, "You can't make people do right by you but you can decide how often you can let them do you wrong."

"I filed for it. I paid for it. Dealt with it in private. Today it has been granted. My freedom walk continues in truth and peace," she added.

The former couple had been together for 15 years and have three children.

Zippy formed the music duo Reggie N Bollie with Bollie Mabbott in 2012. They gained popularity after appearing on the UK music talent show "The X Factor" in 2015 where they ended as runner-up.
