Renowned Ghanaian highlife artiste Akosua Agyapong has advised wives on how to keep a very good home.

She urged them to train and shape their husbands like they would do to their children since they are like mothers to the men also.

Speaking on Accra-based Onua TV's Showtime show, hosted by Nana Ama McBrown, Akosua Agyapong explained that the role of a wife goes beyond taking care of the children to also correcting and teaching the husband.

She said, "When we say mother, the M means that we maintain a home...The O means you must be obedient. Some women don't respect their husbands, so their children think it's normal."

On the role of wives as teachers to their husbands, Akosua Agyapong noted: "T means we are teachers and trainers. As a mother, you are not to teach only your children.”

She stressed, “Teach your husbands too. Some men don't know how to put their clothes together. Show him. Sometimes when things don't go well, teach him because you are his mother."

The singer noted that some men lack basic knowledge on how to keep themselves properly and it is the duty of wives to correct and guide them.

The advice comes at a time when most women have completely abandoned their domestic duty due to pressure from work or sometimes lack passion and experience.
