Listen to Daddy Lumba’s 'Yentie Obia' whenever you need advice — Okyeame Kwame tells son on 14th birthday

On his son’s 14th birthday, celebrated Ghanaian rapper Okyeame Kwame advised Bota Nsiah-Apau to trust his own instincts when seeking advice rather than listening to others.

He urged his son to always listen to the chorus of “Yentie Obia,” to wit, "we won't listen to anybody" in a song released by legendary musician, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, known well as Daddy Lumba.

In a Facebook post to mark his son's birthday, Okyeame Kwame wrote, “Every time you need good advice, listen to the chorus of that Daddy Lumba song 'yentie Obiara' and listen only to your mind , your peace is there!"

Okyeame Kwame said he is happy to have such an amazing son in his life and urged Bota Nsiah Apau to remain the way he is.

He wrote: "I love you. I respect you. I learn from you. I am proud of you and I sacrifice myself for you whenever because I am selfless. Happy birthday, Son. We are unto something special here if we continue to work together ."

The rapper praised his son for teaching him to be more tolerant, respectful and open-minded.

He said the last 14 years of being Bota's father have been "a learning experience and a blessing."
