The Ghanaian music industry has lost a legend following passing of Kwadwo Akwaboah Snr.
The veteran highlife singer died in the early hours of Tuesday, May 16, at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.
His son, Highlife singer Akwaboah Jnr, announced the tragic news via his social media channels, sharing a photo of his late father with the caption, "RIP Daddy."
He was widely celebrated for his contributions to the highlife music scene in Ghana and beyond.
Friends, family, and fans of the late Akwaboah Snr mourn the loss of the talented musician who touched countless lives through his music such as “Awerekyekyere.”

The legend had been off the music scene for a while after he was diagnosed of glaucoma which took his sight.
