Head of newly formed Maddhaus Incorporation, Mr. Aik Livingston Abani, has told showghana.com that the company is undertaking an en masse dismissal of staff for new recruits with immediate effect. Leakage of company secrets to the media, lackadaisical attitude to work and use of company cars for personal engagements were among the reasons given for this move.
The issue of dismissing the entire staff of the company arose when information surfaced on a fleet of cars the company's management 'brought' to ease the transportation burden of staff. Easyride, the rental company that leased the six pick-up vehicles out to Maddhaus Inc., reportedly got them back for non-payment of bills.
Easyride later confirmed the hire of six pick-up vehicles by Maddhaus Inc. but denied getting the vehicles back for non-payment of rental.
“People in here have been giving out information, this is not the first time or the second time or the twentieth time,” Mr. Abani said in response to a suggestion to give the staff another chance.
The boss of what was thought to be the 'healer' of Ghana's ailing music industry, Madhaus Inc., was resolute in his statements on dismissing every staff member of the company for new personnel.
Samini, Kwabena Kwabena, Tinny, Bandana and Nana Quame are among the signings of Madhaus. It remains to be seen what this move will do to the careers of these great artists.
