Ghanaian rapper Edem has gotten into a verbal feud with Ghanaian cyber troll and blogger, Albert Nat Hyde, known on social media as Bongo Ideas.

The troll described the musician’s behavior as an abnormal level of clout-chasing meant to bore and disrupt the people of Ghana.

The troll wrote in response to the singer’s explanation, "This is an abnormal level of clout-chasing. Who even cares about your message and long boring write-up?"

But in a counter-response, Edem made him understand that his type is not new to him, so he won’t dirty himself with a person of his sort for him to satisfy his zeal for forceful popularity.

"I am not the one to go down this path with…I know your type. Deep down your insecurities and need for validation to cover your childhood traumas is ur wahala..Move incorrectly, and you would get it in real life with me…" Edem said in his reply.

This was after the singer on Tuesday released a flyer on his social media handles which had the designs of the opposition NDC with a notice of a soon-to-make announcement.

He, however, released another flyer with the colors of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), indicating his supposed affiliation with them as well.

Initially, people believed he was eyeing the Keta parliamentary seat on the ticket of the NDC.

But Edem noted in a follow-up post that it was for an experiment meant to test the pulse of Ghanaians' reactions to political matters.

The experiment, according to him, was to, among other things, test the fact-checking machinery in Ghanaian media and how swiftly it disseminates information without proper verification.

He also wanted to know, according to his explanation in the follow-up post, how Ghanaian society reacts to such news and whether people are encouraged to join politics.

His post reads, “SOCIAL EXPERIMENT. Are Ghanaians tolerant of divergent views in Politics, and do media houses verify facts on information gotten before making it news?” he quizzed.

Also, “Are people excited to see more young people take up Political Positions?”
