Ghanaian-born US-based comedian, Michael Blankson has expressed shock after learning that Ghanaian Afropop singer Raphael Camidoh Kofi Attachie, widely known as Camidoh, is his fellow countryman.
The Hollywood star had earlier revealed his desire to know more of the Ghanaian artists since he claimed to know only Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Black Sherif, D-Black, and Gambo.
"I need to get to know more of my Ghana artists because the only names I can remember are Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Black Sherif, D-Black, and now my artist Gambo," read his tweet.
His request was shortly granted by a tweep who mentioned to him other hard-working Ghanaian singers like Camidoh, King Promise, KiDi, Kuami Eugene, Kelvyn Boy, and Darko Vibes.
Having received the reply, Mr. Blankson said he knows Camidoh but had no idea he was a Ghanaian singer.
According to him, the "Sugarcane" crooner is one of his favourite artists, whom he listens to and had even listened to just before the tweet.
He indicated that the sensational musician is one of the best singers he has known.
“I’ve heard of Camidoh and King Promise; Camidoh is on my playlist, and I listened to him today. Had no idea he was from Ghana, my bad homie. You a dope ass artist," he wrote.
