UEW: Three beauty queens; Anita, Mavis and Margaret promote HPERSSENS Freshers Games

University of Education, Winneba Face of North Campus 2022 winner, Anita Akpene Tessu and two others Mavis Kwakyewaa Miss HESA 2022 alongside Margaret Agyabeng 1st Runner-up, Miss HESA 2022 have combined beautifully to throw support for the triple collaboration among three Departmental Associations in the school.

The associations are Home Economics Students’ Association (HESA), Association of Students of English (ASSENS) and Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Sports Students’ Association (HPERSSA).

The three beauty queens who are from the Department of Home Economics in UEW reunited at the Students Center at the North Campus for the first time ever after winning their respective crowns last year, 2022.

Speaking to the GUSA 2022 media reporter for UEW who doubles as the broadcaster for the Ghana Swim League, Anita, Mavis and Margaret revealed their plans to add their voices to the upcoming Freshers Akwaaba Week celebration among the three departmental associations in UEW.

Besides, the three beauty queens went ahead to welcome all level 100 students who have been admitted into the university. Queen Anita has expressed her desire to embark on sanitation agenda among two halls at the North Campus of UEW; Simpa Hall and University Hall. Margaret better known as Bedy will explore the path of encouraging ‘plus size’ women within her department to come to the limelight. Mavis better known as Adepa says the construction of a summer hut for her faculty is her topmost priority.

Meanwhile, the climax of the games is expected to be staged at the National Sports College Field, North Campus on Saturday, February 4, 2023. Among the games include, football, sack race, ludu and many more.
