I sacked six unserious social media influencers from my movie set – Yvonne Nelson

Ghanaian actress and CEO of YN Movie Productions, Yvonne Nelson has indicated that she doesn’t joke with her work.

The disciplined actress and movie producer said she doesn’t hesitate to get destructive people off her sight.

The award-winning actress in an interview on Accra-based Asaase radio opined on what led to her sacking some influencers she was on set with.

Narrating the causal incident, Miss Nelson indicated that she employed some six social media influencers as casts for her projects somewhere in December last year (2022).

The said influencers, she said, took her patience for granted and started playing games while shooting was ongoing.

The "Kotoka" movie producer said she sacked them and scrapped the project to do another one with a different set of actors.

"In early December, I started a project with six social media influencers because I just wanted to fall back and give them a chance... and I was like, you guys go and do everything, and I will just play like a role or just one scene or something.

"They came on set and it was like a reality show; the games and plays were just too much, and they were usually late and didn’t have their lines, so something happened that I don’t want to talk about, and I had to scrap everything and bring in new casts and even narrow it to four," she narrated.
