Help me God – Amerado prays as he begins studies at University of Ghana

Sensational Ghanaian rapper Derrick Sarfo Kantanka, known in showbiz as Amerado has taken a step further in his academic life.

The hip-hop recording artist is now studying at the University of Ghana, Legon.

Sharing a picture that many say was taken at his matriculation ceremony on Twitter on Monday, January 30, the rapper captioned: "Level 100, University of Ghana. So help me God."

His course and other details concerning his move are yet to be made public.

His decision to further his education despite gaining fame and money from music has been lauded by many, including Sammy Baah Flex, a Ghanaian entertainment journalist.

Commenting on the "Yeete Nsem" curator’s tweet, the celebrated broadcaster wrote, "Amerado Burner, good move on your university education decision. I feel you on that move super… forever my Gee in this game."

The reigning 3 Music rapper of the year took an educational break for over 8 years and has since chalked up several credentials in his musical journey.

He completed his senior high school education at KNUST Senior High School in Kumasi, Ashanti region.

Amerado began his career in 2015 when he was found by Azee Ntwene after placing third in the Solid FM Freestyle Show and joined MicBurnerz Music with fellow rapper Strongman Burner.
