Yvonne Nelson, a Ghanaian actress and film producer has revealed that she has never received genuine love in her life.

The actress claimed that all her past lovers, including the man she had a baby girl with, all came because they indirectly wanted something from her.

Speaking on Accra-based Power FM, the popular actress revealed that most men approach ladies with love proposals but in reality, they just come because of what they stand to gain which has nothing to do with love.

"I’m not sure I’ve been loved. When you look back, you will realise that it was because of this that’s why he came into my life. I don’t believe in it.

"It is just a way of telling you that I want something from you, so they just use the word love, and it is usually the ladies being lied to by the men,” she revealed.

On the score, the mother of one claimed real love is an illusion because love unlike how it is portrayed in movies, is a scam in reality.

The famed actress stressed that people, especially men, love women because of what they expect to get in the end, be it sex or money from them.

“Love is a scam (in reality), and we all know it, isn’t it so?

"I think love is a scam because we are all deceitful. If a person talks about love, there is something they are seeking, be it money or sex; it is conditional, so it is a scam," she said.

"I feel like the love I want to express to the other person, they don’t something they have to give back. So it’s not like I’ve cancelled it and I can never fall in love, but I don’t think there is anyone out there who can give me the same; it is always conditional," Yvonne Nelson added.

If she will ever consider loving anyone, the filmmaker said it has to begin with, "First of all, I look at friendship, and I should be able to…We should be friends, someone I want to spend the rest of my life with; you get along and the rest can follow."

"Love, I am sorry; I am not there yet. I used to love it, but it was like a joke. It is a scam," she stressed.
