Popular Ghanaian gospel singer, Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong known in showbiz as Great Ampong has chided the Christian fraternity for being what he described as wicked and uncaring.

The staunch Christian noted that his colleagues are not like his Muslim counterparts, who give freely.

In an interview on Accra-based Happy FM, the "Me Yare3 Nti" crooner recounted his past life as a homeless boy who was sleeping and cleaning at a certain church but never got any help from them despite knowing he was extremely poor.

According to Great Ampong, a Muslim individual gave him GHS300 in 2003 and even supported his career willingly.

"I even used to clean and sometimes sing during events, but no one in the church ever invited me home to eat or even gave me money for food… Christians are wicked," said Great Ampong.

"These are some of the things which make Christianity difficult. The first man to ever give me Ghc 300.00 in 2003 was Alhaji Banda. He gave me that money the first time we met, and he did so without me asking him; the person who really helped me in my music career was him, who is a Muslim," he explained.

Meanwhile, the singer is currently in banter with his friend and colleague Daddy Lumba and has even threatened to sue the "Yentie Obia" hitmaker.

The two top-ranked singers joined heads and formed a group called "Kojo Kojo," where they came out with an album titled "Hossana" in 2015.

The 8-track album had songs including "Hossana," "Father and Son," "Jesus is a Winner," "Wo din no ye cases," and many others.

Reports say the funds raised from the project were taken away by Daddy Lumba, which is why the gospel singer is trying to sue him for his share.
