Ghanaian songstress Mzbel has apologised to her fans who were disappointed at her poor performance during the Afrochella music concert.

The 'Asibolanga' hitmaker said she couldn’t hear her voice in the system, which made it hard for her to deliver her best.

Mzbel again cited the lighting system on the stage, which she described as "strong for her fragile eyes," as another reason for her trashy performance on the night.

She, however, promised to make it up to her fans some other time.

An apology note, shared on her various social media platforms, reads, "To all Mzbelievers who are disappointed in my performance at the just-ended Afrochella 2022, I am terribly sorry and I'm disappointed too, because this is not how we prepared to entertain you.

"What happened was I couldn't hear myself or my music on stage, which is why I kept on shouting and trying my best to have fun somehow, but it all ended up trashy. Also, the lights hitting the stage were just too strong for my fragile eyes, so I couldn't even see the crowd to interact properly.

"Without any rehearsals and dancers, I made you proud at the Ghana Music Awards 2021, but unfortunately the media houses and bloggers trashing me today didn't share it like they shared this particular performance, but hey, I promise to make it up to you soon. There's a bigger gig in the pipeline, and if arrangements work out well, I will make you proud again."
