“soso,” the record released alongside his debut studio album “Boy Alone,” bears Omah Lay’s burden and loosened vulnerability. Professing his gnashing agony, sorrow, those wear and tear moments which had crossed his path in time past and recently. So he proclaimed, so, so take my pain away.

Perhaps temporarily, after which who knows what would hit him next? Who knows what goes on in his closet? Do you know? Whether he would be welcomed in paradise or not. Who knows the decisions he had made. Only the Lord knows. In his lyrics, “I don break commandment/I can't stay for one place,” He sings in so much pain i.e genuine. This is not out of the context, but there is something particular about art. It can be an immediate utterance of the artiste(s) self due to certain circumstances or experiences. Omah Lay is not expressing from the blues, however, all these are given birth from some sort of familiar pipeline. Some, we can trace back to his roots.

Connecting the stories of his struggles and challenges faced growing up from Port Harcourt, were captured clearly. Apart from that aspect, the state of mind “Boy Alone” was crafted in was that place of bliss, fame and influence which the star now dwells in. The place where camera clips are often set to capture beyond stage appearances. While the news are ever ready to feed on his lifestyle daily to increase web traffic and income. Omah Lay has walked into a status where gossips would eventually begin to fly around the internet and so much more.

Also, that place, tagged fame, has lots of strings attached given from the account of Nigeria’s most influential street rapper Olamide. On M.I Abaga’s “Bigger,” that featured American rap icon Nas.

For the spectacular Top shotta directed visuals of Omah Lay’s “soso,” the various display tells an in-depth story. Firstly, the masquerade in the visual might possibly refer to a deity influence which he’s backed on. Secondly, some scene, encapsulates his bowing to the deity. While some other scene showcased him laying on bare floor close to a seaside. He pounded the floor hard, displaying an extreme sort of anguish he has been given into.

The female casts all in black ensemble, dancing all around him and baptising from his head all over his white over sized hood. He was baptized with different colors of paint while he was left alone to express how deep the pain went through. Currently, Omah Lay, has not disclosed any information about Boy Alone, his debut album — publicly. Rema, his colleague had been able to discuss in some magazine issues.

Omah Lay had said but nothing yet really. Fans should be asking questions, I believe majority of them (core fans) reasonable enough after watching visuals of “soso” must have unanswered questions due to the visual exposition. Perhaps, Omah Lay had interviews not publicly disclosed yet. While he seem to had been through alot which he had not told us. Some of his art offers a glimpse and reflection. Of course he has his life to live but then. As fans listening and enjoying his artistry, he should be able to tell us same way he grew unashamed to uncover deep vulnerabilities, pain, sorrow and so forth.
