[Video] Medikal refused to feature in my ‘Asibolanga’ song; he was feeling pompous and tossing me around — Mzbel

Ghana’s female singer, Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, widely known as Mzbel has revealed some challenges she encountered in bringing out her new banger, "Asibolanga."

The celebrated artiste disclosed that she wanted to feature rapper Medikal in the song but couldn't make it happen due to pompous reactions by the artist.

In an exclusive interview with blogger and Youtuber, Sammy Kay, she revealed she reached out to Medikal’s wife, Fella Makafui, to speak on her behalf, but all to no avail.

“I had initially wanted to put Medikal on the Asibolanga song, but unfortunately, he was feeling pompous. I tried to reach out to him through his wife (Fella Makafui) and the response was not positive. They kept tossing me around,” she said.

According to Mzbel, part of the song had already been sent to the rapper, but despite having a good relationship with him (Medikal), he refused her request to be featured in the song.

“He had already listened to the song. You know sometimes people don’t feel the music and maybe because of our relationship, he was afraid to tell me,” she added.

After several months of keeping fans in anticipation, the seasoned crooner has taken her followers and music enthusiasts off their feet with the sweet melodies of her Asibolanga hit.
