Officials announce venue for Great Asanteman Gospel Crusade

The officials of the Asanteman Great Gospel Crusade, headed by International Evangelist, Daniel Kolenda (Successor of the late Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke) of Christ for All Nations (CfaN) have finally announced the venue for the upcoming Crusade.

Race Course; a prominent commercial area situated within the CBD of the Kumasi Metropolis has been named as the place where the event will be held.

Speaking on the sidelines of special meeting of all pastors in the Ashanti Region which was held on Monday, 24th October 2022 at the Pentecost International Worship Center (PIWC) auditorium at Asokwa-Kumasi, Rev Dr. Douglas Okonah Frempong-Chairman for the Crusade in a brief meeting with the media said a 20-acre stretch of land at the location has been provided for the holding of the crusade. He added that all preparatory works are in motion to get the place set.

It will be held in conjunction with all churches and para-church organizations in the Ashanti region. “Over 150 Christian denominations are involved in this Crusade”, he indicated.

On security, he stated that arrangements have been made with the Ashanti Regional Police Command for the deployment of personnel to provide security at the venue.

Rev. Dr. Douglas Okonah Frempong who doubles as the General Overseer for the Center for Christian Outreach Ministries also assured that measures have been put in place to ensure easy control of crowds and traffic. He added that a transport committee has been set up to ensure the availability of vehicles to convey participants back to their destinations.

Speaking at the conference, Rev. Prof. Paul Frimpong Manso, President of Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council and immediate past General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Ghana said in anticipation that “there is going to be a bumper harvest…This crusade is going to be the greatest…Men and women will come in their numbers.”

Delivering a sermon on unity, he underlined denominational unification as the primary task of the church and a key element for soul-winning.

He explained further that disunity offers the enemy an opportunity.

Rev. Prof. Frimpong Manso stressed that if Churches unite, what they seek in Kumasi through the crusade will be phenomenal. “All of us should be together and harvest together”, he admonished.

The CfaN Executive Director for Africa, Rev. John Darku, spoke passionately at the meeting and encouraged all the Pastors to do their best to help disciple the over 1 million souls that would be saved during the Crusade.

Rev. Darku maintained that there would be a special fire conference for all believers during the mornings of the crusade from 6am to 9am.
