Okyeame Kwame endorses new musician Lasmid; begs Ghanaians to support him

Astute Ghanaian highlife musician, Kwame Nsia-Apau, better known as Okyeame Kwame has endorsed rising star Lasmid Nathaniel Owusu urging Ghanaians to promote him.

Okyeame Kwame is seen in an Instagram video posted with the caption, “Ghana will love you and promote you but never forget your root. You are so talented. Keep shining youngin.”

Okyeame Kwame stated in the video that the 'Friday Night' hitmaker is a very talented young artiste who needs Ghanaians' support to rise to a higher level in his musical adventure.

“This is really important, this is Lasmid, the new energy of popular music and I'm on my knees, please let us support this young man. Let's not enjoy him small and throw him away like we’ve done in the past because whenever he wins, Ghana wins,” he noted.

The "Yeeko" hitmaker indicated that supporting Lasmid will help push his talent beyond the country while also projecting Ghana's image on the musical landscape.

“Let's support him, Love him, promote him and also make sure he makes Ghana win because his talent is too much and he is going to fly the gold like the green with the black stars.

“You are my black stars,” he stated.

Lasmid is a young Ghanaian rapper who won the eighth season of MTN Hitmaker, a musical reality show, in 2019.

He has a variety of musical tracks, including his recent hit "Friday Night."
