MAY 28, 2022 LISTEN

Hiplife sensation, Barima Sydney says he is coming back with a song that he believes will shake the political spheres of the country.

The artist who is known for his political songs in a recent interview charged President Akufo-Addo and the NPP government to go every length to fix the economy they promised Ghanaians.

He warned government to refrain from blaming its economic failure on the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.

Speaking on Connect FM’s 'Edwumapa Mmre,' the singer indicated that the country is faced with an economic crisis because leaders have failed to think creatively.

“Ghana’s economic woes aren’t unique. Everybody suffers globally. If your fundamentals are weak, the exchange rate will expose you, that’s what’s happening in Ghana,” he said.

He further tasked Ghanaians to be wise when making decisions at the polls.

“I can’t recommend NPP or NDC to Ghanaians in 2024, vote based on who how you live. I am not static, I belong to any political party, and I can speak up if things are wrong,” he stated.

Announcing the song which he is yet to release Sydney stated, “I’ll shortly release a current events tune. ‘Power’ comes out in August. That music will shake everywhere.”
