Fast-rising songstress, Gyakie has shared her most humiliating moment at the very beginning of her now blossoming career.

According to her, the incident took place during her days at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology during the annual Republic Hall Week celebration when she was billed to perform.

Upon mounting the stage, she began performing her first reggae genre song, ‘Love is Pretty’.

Despite poor feedback from the crowd, she kept on performing the song until suddenly, the sounds went off, leaving her confused on stage as her colleagues gazed at her.

The ‘Song Bird’ said in her quest to save the situation, she decided to carry on with the performance but that will not succeed as the microphone gave up on her too.

She said to make matters worse, her colleagues began to hysterically chant and hoot at her, ‘away, away, away,”.

Left with no other option, she run backstage where she wept uncontrollably.

Gyakie, however, got over the experience due to encouragement from loved ones and pursued her music career.
