Tema-based rap talent Kwesi Arthur has called for music producers to be paid well for their works.

In a recent interview, the rapper stated that producers are not paid well despite the huge amounts of effort they put in making sure that musicians get hit songs.

“There is more that could be done. Most of the producers get paid a certain amount and that is it. They don't get any royalties or anything and the amount they are paid is not good at all,” he said.

The rapper pointed out that artists and their management always enjoy the benefits of the songs leaving out the producers who put in lots of work.

“I feel like there's more that could be done to compensate our producers fairly and keep them going. I see some of the things that go on in the background and most of the time, the artists are the ones who get most of the funds or the label. Producers too should get something,” he said.

Kwesi Arthur acknowledged producers who contributed to his first album, indicating that their contributions helped make the project a success.
