According to the Nigerian news outlet, Punch, the autopsy report of the late gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu has been released.
Reports indicated that the police would have to seek legal advice on the matter.
According to Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, on Monday, April 25, the case was no longer with the Police Department.
“The case is no longer with us. It is now with the DPP in the office of the Attorney General,” she indicated.
The Federal Capital Territory Police Command had earlier announced that it had transferred the case of the late singer to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions.
Osinachi passed away on April 8 reportedly as a result of constant domestic abuse.
Her husband, Peter Nwachukwu was picked up by the police after the younger brother of the late singer reported the issue.
The case was however transferred from the Lugbe Police Division to the State Criminal Investigation Department the next day.
Osinachi Nwachukwu left behind four children.
