Bridget Otoo, Stonebwoy engage in 'dog fight' over fresh crypto investment company

Social Media yesterday, Monday, April 18 came alive after broadcast journalist Bridget Otoo had an online altercation with Reggae Dancehall singer Stonebwoy.

The exchange began after the musician endorsed a new crypto investment company, SidiCoinNFT on his Twitter page.

Stonebwoy took to his Twitter handle to announce that he is the new face of the yet-to-be-launched company.

The announcement was met with mixed reactions from netizens who pointed out the fact that many Ghanaians are yet to get over the Menzgold saga.

The singer is recalled to have boldly endorsed Menzgold together with other celebrities.

Stonebwoy’s endorsement of the crypto investment company did not sit well with broadcaster Bridget Otoo who asked several questions concerning the company’s credibility.

“You are part of the ambassadors of Menzgold who championed and lead customers to lose money. Some have died as a result of the Menzgold scam. Do you think it is fair to introduce them to another “money-making venture”? Do you really care about them?” she quizzed.

She went on to express in a separate post that she sees no problem with celebrities signing on to products as times are hard but urged them to be mindful of the lives of innocent customers.

“Dear Ghanaian musicians and movie stars, I know things are tough, I know people are going through it on the streets but please learn to reject some endorsements. It may be good for you pocket but please it may end harming your followers and fans e.g Menzgold,” she wrote.

Her rants however attracted some backlashes from fans of the musician.

On the other hand, the company involved in the conversation reacted to the broadcaster’s claims.

According to them, they never contracted the musician to endorse their product but he did that out of willingness and in his quest to educate individuals.
