Head of Legal and Prosecution at the CID headquarters Sylvester Asare (ASP), Esq has warned that one can be jailed for three years for spanking a lady’s ass.
“One can be jailed for 6 months up to three years,” he stated.
According to the ASP, touching a girl’s body without her consent is an assault.
“Because it’s harassment, you are harassing her, it’s sexual harassment…the touching of the body alone is an assault,” he explained.
While speaking with Daakyehene Ofosu Agyeman on “My Lawyer My Counselor” show on TV – XYZ, ASP Asare said such act is termed a misdemeanour and Court will place a fine on such act.
“Court will fine such person, it’s misdemeanour sometimes the person will be fined and in default, one would have to go to jail,” he stressed.
