25.11.2021 LISTEN

Atinka TV's hostess, Nana Adwoa Annan has questioned why multiple award-winning Ghanaian dancehall artist, Stonebwoy is not getting the hype after his successful performance at the 02 Arena in London.

Stonebwoy, who is currently touring the UK, thrilled patrons that filled the 02 Arena to capacity with a master-class performance on Sunday, November 21, 2021 during his first stop of his Anloga Junction Tour.

In a post on Facebook, Nana Adwoa Annan expressed surprise how Stonebwoy's successful performance is not trending on social media or being talked about by the Ghanaian media.

According to the 'JukeBox' show host, "we may have great artists like Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Samini, King Ayisoba, Kuami Eugene and even Black Sheriff, but if we really want to jolt the made in Ghana agenda i.e supporting our own - then one performer that really needs our support must be Stonebwoy."

She emphasised that "per the radiant work Stonebwoy has done and still doing this year, he deserves to win all the awards."

Nana Adwoa urged Stakeholders of the Creative Arts industry, entertainment pundits, writers, journalists, presenters and the general public as a whole, to support the 'Hero' hitmaker.

Nana Adwoa Writes: Why Are We Quiet On Stonebwoy's Success?

In as much as we attach so much attention to incautious trends like "Washawasay" it's vastly disheartening the media is not talking about the recent triumph of multiple award-winning dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy.

From January to now, Stonebwoy has been working arduously not just locally but internationally. One that really got my attention is the Anloga junction, I mean that one was a masterpiece; I vastly loved it.

But ,oh, God, the one that should've been the talking point within the showbiz fraternity by now is how he shutdown 02 Arena in London. The 'Run Go' hitmaker exhilarated patrons that filled the auditorium to capacity with a confounding performance.

The fact that he is taking it out there in London doing a UK tour selling out the arena is just mind-blowing. He is an artist if you carefully look at his enthusiasm, zeal, passion, confidence and that goal-getter avatar that rides through his veins, nothing should really prevent you from acknowledging his works.

Yes, we may have great artists like Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Samini, King Ayisoba, Kuami Eugene and even Black Sheriff, but if we really want to jolt the made in Ghana agenda ie supporting our own - then one performer that really needs our support must be Stonebwoy.

Frantically speaking, per the radiant work Stonebwoy has done and still doing this year, he deserves to win all the awards. Oh, Yes, if we have anything to give to a musician then it should be him because he has risen to the heights where people in the industry can say we can also make it.

Physically, Stonebwoy is somewhat even limited, but that has never hindered his dreams of achieving delectable laurels. He's really pushing himself out there to make sure he becomes the icon we all crave from our celebrities.

He has proven beyond reasonable doubt that, Whether we have the funds or not, whether we have the system, the structures, support from the government, whatever we need and may not be getting shouldn't limit our quests into achieving our goals.

Why are we really quiet about his recent success?

I shall entreat stakeholders of the Creative Arts industry, entertainment pundits, writers, journalists, presenters and the general public as a whole, to support Stonebwoy.
