Ghanaian Afro Dancehall singer Stonebwoy believes a fixed creative arts industry with some robust royalties regulatory systems will be the best to support veteran stars.

According to him, veteran stars must not always appeal to the general public to have their needs sorted.

He added that with these systems, they (veterans) will be well taken care of.

In a recent Twitter, the 1Gad questioned why veterans must always feed on donations from the public.

“Does this simply mean that we are headed to donation? After working so hard from your youthful age to your adulthood entertaining your country, in your old age you become a charity case? Let’s fix the royalty system,” he captioned.

Stonebwoy, born Livingstone Satsekla was reacting to the recent kind gestures performed by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Honorable Henry Quartey towards veteran actor Psalm Adjeteyfio after he made a public appeal when he was faced with accommodation issues.

Dr. Bawumia offered an amount GHc50,000 whiles, Hon. Quartey offered GHc 1,500 off his salary every month.
