Ghanaian popular and legendary gospel music performer, Agya Sam Cooper has laud Diana Hamilton for winning the ultimate award at the just ended 22nd Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
The spirit-filled worshipper in an exclusive with this portal said a time has come for the gospel music fraternity to take over the Ghanaian music space and he is proud Diana Hamilton is leading the revolution.
According to him, though there have been previous gospel musicians who had won the prestigious plaque Diana's appeared more effective to the rise of the gospel music fraternity.
"I am proud of my daughter Diana Hamilton for her eminence. She deserves whatever she had won on the night, she worked for it and this should inspire young and upcoming gospel singers to put in much effort in their works," he stated.
Agya Sam Cooper is known to be one of the pioneers of worship music in Ghana.
He is remembered for his powerful soothing vocal and delivery prowess.
His songs have travelled the length and breadth of the world, saving lives and bringing souls to Christ.
Agya Sam Cooper in the 90s collaborated with Elder Kwasi Mireku to perform songs such as "otreneeni amane3 dooso", " Maranatha, Oy3 ade3 yie" among others.
Agya Sam Cooper is geared to take over the Ghanaian music scene with powerful worship songs.
He has to his credit 15 studio album of which he is ready to launch the 16th.
