Raph Enzee

Raph Enzee sits on the edge of a wooden stool at a resort overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in his native Prampram. Real name Raphael Awuley Lartey, he reflects on the pandemic and its effects; but acknowledges how the isolation has impacted his latest EP, ENZEE NOT ENVY. His eyes gazings on the roaring waves, he says the latest project is different from any other product he has ever produced and delivered to the market. It has a local mixed with global appeal, he says.

The album cover shows a serious Raph with a gun pointing towards a certain direction. The gun, he explains, is a metaphor for the current transition from a ‘homeboy’ to an artist who can navigate around themes, without losing his identity. The themes of each song is distinct and one that encapsulates what the current global pop cultures has come to accept; an avant-garde towards the direction he wants to take his craft.

Envy has never been the Enzee way, it took a minute but Rapper Raph Enzee comes up with his second and much-anticipated EP titled “ENZEE NOT ENVY” , it is amazingly composed with six carefully selected songs with productions from Drumnayshin, Roses bheatz, A Town tsb , Awuley and N.O.B .

The project features the fast-rising Ghanaian afrobeats sensation Fameye and the talented Modulo TGB.

This EP channels a level of growth were Raph Enzee voices his hunger through the emotions of a well-crafted genius piece.

The tape contains a remarkable body of work which signifies Raphenzee’s precision to his musical genius and proves to be the statement the world is yearning to not only listen but to experience a genius in his prime.
