Angry Creative Stakeholders over delayed Corona grant

The Coronavirus brought a lot of hardship on every citizen due to its effect on the economy and in view of this, the President disbursed some funds to every sector of the economy including the Creative Art Sector.

Most of these Sectors have duly received their funds except for a few including the majority of the Creative Arts practitioners.

The Creative Council who took charge of the sector's funds till date has still not done the needful.

The forms they requested from the stakeholders since April have been filled and submitted but till today December 1st nothing has happened.

The President of the Land & Finance Minister have all come out to say that they have given the industry 50million yet Majority of Stakeholders are complaining they’ve received nothing. Even the Interim President of the Creative Council in an interview on Hitz Fm with The Don said the government has given the sector 50million and still these same stakeholders are saying they’ve still not received anything so who is speaking the truth.

Other sectors have received theirs including Kayayos with Tin numbers then why are we doing this to ourselves and if this is how we treat our Creative Arts sector and how do you expect other sectors to respect our Arts?

Some of the angry stakeholders will visit the Creative Council and the NBSSI offices today at 12 noon
