Sherifa Orders GHAMRO To Give Her Royalties To MUSIGA

Multiple award-winning Ghanaian soul singer, Sherifa Gunu has instructed the body responsible for collecting and Paying royalties to Ghanaian Musicians, Ghana Music Right Organisation (GHAMRO) to use her royalties to build a befitting Office for the Musician Union Of Ghana (MUSIGA)

The Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) has come under tumultuous criticism by most Musicians like Guru, D Black, Kwaw Kese, Edem, and Tinny for not living up to their expectations.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on popular entertainment talk show ‘Entertainment City’ hosted by one of the most respected female broadcasters of our time, Nana Adwoa Annan on Atinka TV, Sherifa Gunu who was voicing out about the growing canker angrily cogitated that MUSIGA needs funds to erect a new building, thus GHAMRO can redirect her royalties to the former.

The vibrant recording and performing artist who was expressing her disappointments at the undeserving current MUSIGA building and GHAMRO said to Nana Adwoa Annan, “I don’t care about my royalties—after all how much money will GHAMRO give me …look at the deteriorating nature of the MUSIGA Office…A whole MUSIGA office; how do you feel when you go there?

She continued, ”they need money to build a new MUSIGA office so I would rather pray for GHAMRO to get money and give it to MUSIGA so that they can put up a new structure…So they should use my royalties to build a befitting MUSIGA Office".

The celebrated Soul Singer is currently out with her latest single track titled ‘The World Is sick”.
