Veteran Ghanaian highlife artiste James Kwaku Tuffour popularly known as Nana Tuffour is reported dead after a short illness in Kumasi.

According to sources, the highlife legend has been battling some illness in recent times but could not survive.

Speaking in an interview on NYANSAPO, Otec FM’s morning show hosted by ace broadcast journalist Captain Koda, sound engineer and head of Otec Fm entertainment desk Collins Agyeman (Collins Tee) who has been a longtime friend to the late Nana Tuffour confirmed the death even though he refused to indicate cause of the death and the said illness.

He however disclosed that family of the late Nana Tuffour would later meet and details may be made available to the public.

Nana Tuffour is well known for some beautiful tracks like Nyankonton konya, Abeiku, Diana, Aketekyewa, meyere dadaa and many others.

Biography

James Kwaku Tuffour a.k.a Nana Tuffour a.k.a. 9-9-2-4 is a renowned Highlife singer/songwriter. He was born on Valentine’s Day 1954 in an era when intelligence scored substantially more points than good looks. It is no wonder that his has crooned his way into the hearts of many women over the years with is sweat and smooth ballads.
