The hiplife artiste Vida Kpekpenya, popularly known in showbiz as KK Vidash, had the shock of her life when Metro TV rejected her video clip for reasons that it is indecent to be on TV.
According to her, the music video which has been rejected is no different from others being shown on our television screens daily. She explained in an interview with this reporter that the video-grapher and director (Ben), who came out with the concept designed it to fit the danceable and lyrical tune titled “shake that thing”.
Weekly Fylla in a telephone conversation with one Eric, a worker at Metro TV who received the video from the female artiste and her production team U. A. Productions and rejected it two weeks later when he informed the producer (Eugene) that the last two people who confirm videos before it is aired has alarmed that the video exposes much beyond their liking, couldn't come out with any reason why the station rejected the video with an excuse that he (Eric) is not the producer of videos aired on the TV stations. The producer declared that the video has gone through another editing for the TV station's next line of action.
KK Vidash, started music way back in 2002 and released her first album three years away which carried the title “ode awo me”, and she is the first to feature Screw Face under R and D Productions.
That maiden album won her the household name KK Vidash, but she did not make any sale out of it for no special reasons. Her new album which is currently on air is kicking countrywide and with the title “Shake that thing”, which she teasingly mentioned that she has got it to shake for her fans.
Other tracks making the whole album includes the re-mix version of Paapa Yankson's “Me nyonko” and Mepe abomu adi' together with well arranged tracks for all music lovers, especially, her fans. She used this medium to urge all music lovers to get their own copies and express sincere thanks to her hardworking producer for his support in making this work a success.
