VGMA 2019 Set For Tonight

The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2019 comes off later tonight, May 18, 2019, as it marks its 20-years anniversary.

The prestigious award ceremony in Ghana promises to be bigger and better this year with a lot of new additions made by organizers ahead of the event. Whiles the hype around the event has been down this year, organizers have promised to put up an event to remember to celebrate such a huge moment in their journey.

Though the artiste of the year category has always been the topmost award on the night, there will be an improvement tonight with an additional category included in this edition to award the artiste of the decade.

One artist who has stayed on top of his or her game whiles remaining relevant will be honored with the ‘Artiste of the Decade’ award. Samini, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Joe Mettle as well as Efya are all in contention to pick the top award.

Peace FM’s Kwami Sefa Kayi will be hosting the event alongside GHOne TV’s Berla Mundi at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC). For the Red carpet slated to start at 19:30GMT, it will be hosted by TV3’s Giovanni Caleb together with Sika Osei.

Over 15 artiste will grace the stage to wow the audience and viewers at home with some exciting Performances.
