Ghanaian actor; TV presenter and Spoken word artiste, Jeffrey Nortey has been crowned the best entertainment act at the maiden edition of the Women’s Choice award Africa 2019 which came of on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Swiss spirit Alisa hotel.

With the red carpet session commencing at 6:30pm; the event was attended by renowned media personalities which include Adjetey Annan; Abeiku Santana; Ohemaa Mercy, Abrantie the Gentleman; Akumaa mama zimbi; Prince David Osei etc

The awards show was hosted by Nikki Samonas and PY Addo Boateng and the red carpet session was hosted by Kojo Daasebre and Maudlyne Ardey.

Jeffrey Nortey stood tall in his category where he beat the likes of Kuami Eugene, Kwesi Artur, Wendy Shay, Medikal, Moesha Bodoung, Victor AD, Teni Entertainer amongst many others. The best entertainment act category was dubbed by industry players as the category of “death”.

Jeffrey Nortey in an interview with OdarteyGH TV after winning the award said; “Is grace, just grace. I work equally hard but is grace.”

Jeffrey Nortey is set to embark on a new journey where he will presenting Pidgin News on one of Ghana’s most trusted television stations, GHOne TV. This will be the first time in the history of Ghana where a television station will be presenting news in pidgin.
