MUSIGA Natoinal Elections: List of Candidates Released

The National Elections Committee of the Musician Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has announced the names of candidates who will be contesting in the upcoming National elections scheduled for June 26.

The final list which has eleven candidates shows both Veteran Musician, Bessa Simons, and Ghanaian Reggae artiste, Ras Caleb Appiah-Levi aspiring to succeed outgoing MUSIGA President, Bice Osei Kuffuor.

According to the Chairman of the National Elections Committee, Smart Nkansah, "the vetting exercise was very insightful and the committee was satisfied with the general level of enthusiasm and commitment to improving the Union displayed by the candidates."

The elections will be held in all regional capitals in line with amended MUSIGA constitution which stipulates that all paid up card-bearing members are eligible to vote

Rev Edward Edusa-Eyison (National Treasurer)

Chizzy Nii Adu Wailer (National Organizer)

Sylvia Bosompem Amposah (General Secretary)

Samuel Kofi Agyeman (General Secretary)

Deborah Freeman (2nd Vice President)

Ruth Benny Wood (2nd Vice President)

Rev. Dr. Harry Thomas Yawson (1st Vice President)

Richard Karikari Mensah (1st Vice President)

Bessa Simons (President)

Ras Caleb Appiah-Levi (President)
