Ghana Music Industry Is Tough To Penetrate -Klem Cries Out

Sensational Ghanaian singer, Clement Kofi Akuoko Sarpong Baafi popularly known as Klem says that it’s not easy to get your music out there as an artiste.

Klem who was one of the finalists of the MTN Project Fame West Africa, Season 7 reality show has expressed how he used to suffer to get his song out there in an interview on Tuesday, December 12, 2018, on Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty on Hitz 103.9 FM.

Responding to a question Andy Dosty asked during the interview, “has it been easy or difficult?” Klem in his reply said that ”it’s not easy to get the attention” and stressed that “to get your music out there, it’s not easy”.

“Like I remember some time back I will record a song and I will go to… let’s say some school and then I will knock door-to-door then I will Bluetooth my song from door-to-door”, he added.

The 3rd runner-up of the MTN Project Fame season 7, Klem also revealed that he has been signed onto another record label called Olivet Entertainment after he left Xtra Large Music. The same record label which signed the multi-award winning Dancehall Queen, Kaakie signed Klem after he came out from MTN Project Fame in 2014.

“Projecting me as an artiste…like it wasn’t really constant …you know so it made everything slow and I had to leave”, he explained.

Olivet Entertainment a reliable record label giant in Ghana on October 10, 2018, signed Klem unto its label for three years. Besides, Klem’s “Man No Be God” song has served notice of his readiness to play in the bigger leagues of Ghana’s music industry.

The CEO of Olivet Entertainment, Mr Essien Ezabuani has indicated that Klem happens to be a multi-talent artiste and that makes him very versatile when it comes to Ghanaian music.

The singer who is also tagged as the “Ladies Man” due to his soothing voice disclosed that he would be releasing three albums during his 3-year contract with Olivet Entertainment.

Klem is not just a singer but a songwriter & a performing artiste as well.
