Comedian Waris Gets Upclose With OdarteyGH after his ‘paedophilic’ tweet about Sarkodie’s daughter

Ghanaian comic act, Comedian Waris after being trolled by social media users for his tweet about rapper, Sarkodie’s two-year-old daughter, Titi got upclose with Celebrity blogger OdarteyGH on his show dubbed One On One With OdarteyGH.

The comedian, born Waris Abdul Umaru talked about his journey as a comedian in the promising comedy industry.

He said," It's though to be a comedian in Ghana since Ghanaians have still not accepted comedy wholeheartedly"

Speaking about challenges, Comedian Waris lamented on the fact that the Media don't support the industry and even if they do the effort they put in is less. Also Ghanaian event organizers don't add comedians to their shows thereby benching comedians all the time. "I can say for a fact that most Ghanaian comedians are on their own", he added.

When asked if he was not doing comedy what would he be doing, he said, "I would have been a blogger or radio/TV presenter".

Comedian Waris has rendered an unqualified apology to Sarkodie , his wife and daughter.

“To anyone offended by my tweet concerning sarkodie’s daughter kindly tamper justice with mercy. Especially to @sarkodie @tracysarkcess @thenanaaba @Santokh72.”

“I’m apologetically sorry, it won’t happen again. To (sic) ere is human, to forgive is divine.”
