Omotola Seeks To “Unite” Muslims And Christians

Ace Nigerian actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, has called on persons belonging to the Muslim faith as well as Christians to make the conscious effort to co-exist.

The actress who shared the post on her Instagram wall explained that, she used to be Muslim before converting to Christianity and both faith place high value on peace.

“Although I was born Muslim, today I practice Christianity… Our Faith should make us better Humans…,” portions of her post on Instagram read.

Omotola expressed disbelieve over how people allow religion which is meant to transform individuals to live in harmony to rather divide them- and by extension even ignite brutalities.

“I’ve witnessed some horrors that eyes should Never see…All because of Religious divides and intolerance…” she said.

She used the opportunity to plead with people to exercise restraint and ensure they do not harm others in the name of exercising their faith as all religions fundamentally seek to promote peace.

“Any Act that does not show love does not serve God or Humanity. Love your Neighbour as yourself. Peace,” she added
