The tempo in the MTN soccer reality eviction show is assuming a paradigm shift as the weeks roll by.
And like the Biblical Moses, thousands got to the academy house but had to be returned home by the security personnel because the stand was jam packed.
For now, four team mates, Oscar Anor, Jonas Gyasi Baffoe, Lloyd Ekow Brehun and the latest Alexander Osei have been jettisoned from the house.
According to Mr. Fadi Fattal of Metro TV, the eviction process continues unabated till the number is reduced to four who will be vying for the ultimate in a grand ceremony in November at the National Theatre.
Despite demonstrating big match temperaments in a game that saw the Yellow teammates going past their Blue counterparts 6-5, Osei suffered shipwreck by ending his stay in the house.
His eviction, unlike his predecessors witnessed no tears from his compatriots and the fans alike.
And like a seer, he prophesied his fate in the competition in a pre eviction interview few hours before the well patronized eviction show which saw hip life stars as Nana Quame, young Boli and Screw Face performing “Atia donko,” “Kiss your bride” and “Buie”.
In a post-eviction press conference yesterday, Osei looking confident expressed thanks to the organizers of the show, MTN/Metro TV for the exposure.
As usual, senior coach Ibrahim Sunday charged him to go all out in his quest to find his rhythm in his soccer endeavours.
The rest of the ten team mates came out to bid him farewell after the post eviction conference in an emotional manner as he drove away in a Metro TV vehicle with his family.
“We are all sitting on time bombs, we don't know who is the next “victim” but we are confident of surviving,” Michael Eduful, Gideon Baah, Collins Akwasi
Akowah and diminutive Bismark Amponsah said amid smiles.
Characteristically, top scorer, Jake Ablorh (16 goals), struck double in his side's 6-5 triumph over the Blue team.
Enterprising Baah emerged the captain for this week taking over from hardworking Eduful, while Ablorh succeeded Kwame Ompong Oti as the best player.
