Joy News editor, Israel Laryea has responded to outbursts of Menzgold CEO, Nana Appiah Mensah after his report on the company’s operations in the UK suggested he has hoodwinked Ghanaians into thinking he was running a bustling office in the UK just as local operations in Ghana to win their trust.

In a well thought through reply to Mr. Appiah’s insulting message to him, he advised him to focus, think through and device means to resolve the issue that has thrown the country into panic.

He said, “No need for insults Mr Appiah-Mensah. If the people who are jittery about losing their funds do this, I can understand.

“You have to focus and find out how best to manage the situation. I’m not SEC, neither am I BoG, just a journalist sharing my observations. # Focus.”

The exchanges began after a report by the Joy News journalist allegedly revealed that the gold dealership company was operating a different module in the UK from what transpires locally in Ghana.

The report prepared by Joy News editor, Israel Laryea on a recent trip to the United Kingdom (UK) has become the subject for discussion on all media platforms.

The report, indicated that Menzgold UK does not operate the same business model it does in Ghana which landed them into troubles with various state institutions including the Security and Exchanges Commission.

The report also added that, Menzgold rents a small space in the massive Berkeley Square House block in Mayfair which houses about a thousand or more businesses, mostly seeking short term leases.

In Facebook video, the JoyNews editor reported that only two Ghanaian ladies were in the office at the time of his visit with no Menzgold signage nor any activities as it is in Ghana.
