2018- Five Years And Counting Pop-Up Africa Keeps Popping Up

Converging under the canopy at the Entertainment Square at Spitalfields Market in London on Bank holiday May 28th was a spectacle to behold, as Pop-Up Africa paid its annual homage to its patrons.

Running consecutively for five years, this year's Pop-Up Africa brought in its wake, some interesting, compelling and engaging experience to some of, if not most of its patrons. The weather greeted the event in its true spirit by courtesy of the sun.

Elated for such an event, people from all walks and shades of life came in their numbers just to either witness, buy, sell or patronise what Africa has got to offer.

The aroma bellowing from the various kitchen pots kept the atmosphere oozing with nothing short of an African appeal.

In all, Pop-Up Africa seeks to encapsulate the expressions and impressions of the African identity, be its tradition, culture, heritage, fashion or the art of cookery.

The life and soul of the event was fully vested in Colourful Radio as the main media partner. Resonating with the audience DJs and presenters of Colourful Radio made sure the party was alive and kicking, moving and grooving to the right dancing feet.

DJ Reg was on duty spinning different selection of some authentic African music as Mix-master Mac was helping with the technical production.

In her welcome address Jessica Laditan- the founder and organiser of the event could not hide her joy and thus said “I am so grateful for your presence and patronage and I hope you enjoy yourself and thank you all for coming.”

Speaking to a Colourful Radio representative he said : “ Wow, what a day that was! Great job all round, from the Colourful team, the organisers, the patrons and everyone.

“ Days like that makes the event what it suppose to be, as it's worth it. The organisers can't wait for you all to be back again next year! So start preparations!.” As for the MC his energy is different.
