Edward Nana Poku Osei, known in showbiz as Hammer has disclosed that he is no longer the Director of Hiplife at the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA).

According to the music producer, he decided to quit the job because his 'office' was not resourced.

“My office never had a budget to do anything. I was treated like a little boy,” he said in an interview with Joy FM.

He also recounted that when he was given the appointment, he asked for a place to put his stuff to start work but the leadership was unyielding to his request.

“I'm the go-to guy when it comes to these but I haven't worked because it didn't make sense to me,” he noted.

“Obour is my friend, I spoke to him a couple of times…he is my boy. I respect him a lot but nothing was happening,” he further stated.

Hammer, who is now into bakery, was appointed by MUSIGA President Bice 'Obour' Osei Kuffour to help manage the hiplife wing of the union.

He is touted as one of the music producers whose works influenced the advent and survival of the hiplife genre in Ghana.

He has worked with artistes like 'Obrafour,' 'Edem,' 'Kwaw Kese,' 'Tinny,' 'Sarkodie,' 'Dogo, Teephlow, among others.
