Some astute Ghanaian women were on Saturday night honoured for their enormous contribution to women empowerment and the growth of the Ghanaian economy.
At a plush event at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, the women were honoured for using their expertise, position and influence to inspire others to make a difference in driving other women forward.
The 2018 edition of the Ghana Women of the Year Honours, which is the third edition, saw the women acknowledged excelling and making a great impact in various fields of their endeavours.
On the night, Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), Madam Charlotte Osei and News Editor of Adom FM, Afia Pokua (Vim Lady) were among the outstanding women honoured this year.
The Honourees were: Charlotte Osei (Governance), Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh (Corporate Personality), Afia Pokua (Excellence in Media), and Kosi Yankey (Excellence in Public Enterprise).
The rest were; Juliet Asante (Excellence in Film), Dr Nana Ama Barnes-Amoa (Excellence in Health), Dziffa Akua Ametam (Young Star) and Efya (Musical Arts).
The event, which had Doreen Andoh and Vimbai as MCs, witnessed impressive performances from Nana Yaa, Adina and Yaa Yaa.
